With Glenn, Hodgy, both Trows and JP all missing, the second team faced Kearsley at home following on from their big win away at Eagley. Kearsley got off to a terrible start as they were 46-5 thanks to a devastating opening spell from Jason Dunning who picked up 4 of the first 5 wickets with the other wicket coming via a run out from Seb. Jason returned later in the innings to secure his 5 wicket haul whilst Olly Dixon picked up two wickets in the middle overs. Abbas and Seb picked up the last two wickets both caught by Scheepers to take his total to three for the innings.
With 136 needed for victory, the hosts knew they could only lose 2 wickets if they wanted to secure all seven points. Thats exactly what happened as Kingy was dismissed for 6, having been lucky to escape a missed chance when on 0 as he skied one but no one wanted to catch it. Jamie was also dismissed for 21 with the score on 34 there were a few nerves from the supporters given the numerous batters missing from the side. What followed was described as 'vintage Runi' from Jimmy B as Runi notched up 40 not out to support Charlie who top scored with an excellent 63 not out. The lads face Egerton away next up with all the big guns back in the side.
