With a number of players unavailable Westhoughton went into the game missing Dan Higham;Charlie Honour;Jason Dunning;Glenn Bullock but the backup players proved a hit on the day.

Walkden elected to bat and got off to a steady start reaching 30 odd before Abbass knocked over both openers.Woody got through 10overs without any success but kept things tight as Abbass; the Oli’s capitalised on a poor Walkden batting effort. Abbass finished with 6 for 36 whilst Oli T took 3 wickets and Oli D the other to fall.

In reply Hodgy opened with Matt Trow and got off to a flyer despatching the opening quickie to the boundary with ease.As the field was changed to protect the point boundary Hodgy was trapped lbw for 27 to a ball which nipped back bringing Jamie to the wicket. Matt never looked comfortable nicking a couple through the slips to the fence as he struggled to penetrate the infield, at this point the runs dried up with Jamie also finding it difficult scoring.With the Walkden team buoyant and anticipating another wicket Matt was trapped in front for 17 bringing Kai playing his final game to the wicket. Unfortunately things got worse at this point as Jamie cut to point called a run then stopped then started then gave up leaving both batters at the same end, Kai departed to Zante for a duck and TFC.
At this point Jamie dug in and took Westhoughton to the point of victory before Runi chipped one to mid wicket immediately followed by Oliver Dixon bowled first ball.This left Seb to hit the winning runs through the gulley area to seal a 5 wicket win.
