Strength in depth

the second team had a few players missing - Martin & kie applying for a bob sleigh team....Glenn on first team duty ...beany looking for the 2 lost A stars ... The dunning boys on a bosman getting drunk somewhere ...Simon at Alton towers again...the prince had to call on the squad to keep up the title charge. Charlie ,Ollie , and nathan all made a welcomed return as well as the chief selector .......the team looked strong.
Little lever looked a young side with the ever green Paul Killey ex pro playing
Danny having warmed up for 20 minutes sent the first ball for a wide ( time well spent.)
Nathan opened from the other end .Little lever made a promising start however Danny took the first wicket well caught behind by me ( a wonderful tumbling catch in front of 2nd or 3 rd slip honest )
Nathan then removed Donald caught in the gulley by James burrows . then in came the promising young Rushmore who looks like a decent prospect however he soon nicked the ball to Gary at first slip who made a dogs dinner of this chance .
Danny was then replaced by Gary who soon removed young Mann another decent village youngster sending his middle stump cartwheeling back well almost.
Killey then came in ...giving us a running commentary of his innings , he played a few decent shorts including one very special extra cover drive for none !!!!
This looked like a decent partnership however Matt trow once again dropped his 3rd chance and I am sure kie would have caught all 3 .....honest
Nathan then removed the dangerous Killey with a well disguised slower long hop which was expertly caughtt by Ollie turner.
The next ball cleaned up their keeper who had his shirt out..if you can't play at least look the part.
Hat trick ball went ...well bowled ..Rushmore then tried to farm the strike but was bowled by Gary (you can't kid a kidder. )
81 was the total
Trow & partington opened the batting and knocked off the runs in decent time ...jp 41 not out Matt 23 not out
One of the highlights was a full blooded drive off a Donald Hayes full toss which the bowler got a hand to and deflected in to the umpires lower region however his modesty was saved by his spare bail
And when he finally got to his feet he was ok no splinters fortunately
So all in all a good days work 7 points ....T.J a little richer, the charge is still on
Ps jimmy don't moan about my punctuation
Regards jp
