Westhoughton vs Heaton 2nd XI

Westhoughton Second Team went into Saturday’s game looking to make amends for last years surprise defeat at the hands of Heaton.

Heaton won the toss and decided to have a bat. They started positively reaching 34 for 0 before Danny Molyneaux (1-24) got the breakthrough and then the Heaton wickets began to fall on a regular basis. Wasim Nawab bowled well finishing up with 3-39 and also Martin Hodgkiss proving to be a genuine all-rounder bowled a tight spell finishing with 1-20 off 7. However the pick of the bowlers was Oliver Turner who finished with figures of 2-6 off 6 overs.
