What a performance

So the big day arrived, the Hamer Cup Semi Final v Wogden.

Nigel Partington the Wogden skipper won the toss and elected to bat, it wasn't long before he was back in the shed, caught behind by KP bowled The Housewives favourite Newby.
Then Raf Afridi, 2nd cousin twice removed to Pakistan legend Shaid was brilliantly caught by Mark Atherton, back peddling one handed in full reach.
Fanning came on, Higham sulked, what's new. The skipper was justified in his decision when He had Taylor from Farnworth caught by Sean Dunning.
Ryan Ayres came in and batted sensibly and made 45, he was last man out, in between the bowling attack kept discipline and throw in a superb run out by The Cat, it had been a good start, but the job was only have done. 107 was the target.

Million Dollar Naylor and the skip opened up, soon both out for not so many on the board and Wogdens backs were up, a man for a crisis, Rob Brown was joined by Class Abbass.
Rob batted brilliantly, like an owd pro, block good ball, hit bad ball, easy this cricket.
Qaiser was out for 40 odd, nearly job done and it was left to Brown and THF to see us home.

Plenty on watching, a good group from Wogden who behaved impeccably.

A cracking day, plenty of supporters turned up, even Peter Reid made an appearance, that Hedges rolls in high places.

I got Parkered and went home early for my tea.

Roll on the final v Greenmount on August 2nd at midge city, Eagley.
