Lancs knockout quarter final

Ormskirk win the toss and we are asked to bat
AtIq & Danny open the innings
From this point on things didn't go to plan
The wicket was firm and green , griffiths & Chaunce bowled in good areas and we struggled
AtIq was given out when on another day it would have been adjudged to be going over the top 5-1
Kaiser came in at 3 , Danny soon nicked out to the slips and we were 15-2
Pilks came in and went to the same fate as Danny caught in the slips 16-3 , Ste Parker came and went bowled 17 -4
Shaun dunning came in at 6 and hit a couple of 4s , he was bowled by the rampant griffiths 30-5
Charlie honour also didn't last too long bowled by new bowler Barnes 39 - 6
I joined the pro at the wicket , sadly he chopped on to Barnes for a hard earned 17 ( to be honest if the pro struggled to bat on this wicket what chance did the rest of us have ?? ) 40 - 7. .

I have not faced bowling like this for a few years and to be honest I didn't fancy it , during one of our mid wicket chats Kieron said keep batting we will declare on 200 if only
We had an arrangement I would keep griffiths out and Kieron would face the medium pacers cheers for that
So after a few overs of griffiths hitting various parts of me ..I had somehow managed to hit a couple of 4s and then I chopped on putting me out of my misery 60-8
Danny Higham came in a received the best ball of the day according to the umpire ,so Danny said ..not convinced

Enter Matt fanning iq 160+ this was the best partnership for us of the day .......Edwards full of 2s ,,,,a 4, 5 , and a 6
The partnership was 34 when it ended Matt 11 not out & Kieron 29 well played lads 94 all out
They got them for 3 ....AtIq ,kaiser and Danny picking up the wickets
They play clitheroe in the semi and then will play in the final and probably win it ..good luck to them
I feel disappointed for the lads who didn't play rob & Kieron p but we had a good run and were well beaten on the day by a better outfit
