The hangover from Saturday sees a second defeat in 24 hours.

Following defeat to Greenmount on Saturday, the lads knew the title challenge was over but still needed to gain as many points as possible if they wanted to finish 2nd in the league. Unfortunately, things didn't quite go to plan.
Kearsley won the toss, much to the surprise of their players, and took the chance to bat first. Matt Fanning struck early on but apart from that it was a fairly frustrating afternoon for the lads as there were numerous sloppy moments in the fielding display, especially compared with the previous weeks efforts. Qaiser again looked to be having a wicket-less afternoon as he had bowled 21 overs before he picked up his first wicket. He eventually finished with 4 wickets to help restrict the visitors to 212-7 from their 50 overs, when a total of 250+ looked on the cards when they were 164-2 with two set batters at the crease.
In response, wickets fell at a regular interval as most batters got a start before getting out. Qaiser top scored again with 43 and despite their best efforts, Charlie Honour (26) and Dan Higham (18) couldn't see the hosts over the line. A special mention goes to 14 year old Ben Harrison who made his first team debut in this game and didn't look out of place amongst the lads before he was dismissed for 7 caught behind. Eventually the hosts were dismissed for 181 as 3rd place looks to be their final league position unless Bradshaw slip up over the weekend.
