Greenmount continue their excellent record at St George's Oval with another victory.

With the games running out and the pressure growing to try and catch leaders Farnworth Social Circle, the lads knew they had a tough test on their hands with the always dangerous Greenmount the visitors to St George's Oval.
Following some early morning rain, there was always likely to be a delayed start, but the heavens opened once again and the game was shortened to a 34 over a side game in the end. The away side batted first and posted 150-2 in their 34 overs, a total boosted massively in the last 4 overs where they scored just shy of 50 runs as both batters, Senior and Ur-Rehman, brought up their unbeaten 50s. Atiq took the only two wickets in his very first over in an otherwise unusually quiet display from Qaiser who failed to pick up a wicket for the first time this season.
In response, Westhoughton's reply never really got going as only three batters reached double figures, the best of those scores coming from Qaiser who finished on 57 not out as the hosts finished on 122-7 to gain a bonus point that may help them secure 3rd place this season but certainly ended any slim title aspirations for another season at least.
