Another Win for the 1st XI

Egerton faced Westhoughton in a match that was reduced to 25 overs per side thanks to numerous weather problems. Egerton won the toss and decided to bat first and soon lived to regret this decision as Qaiser Abbas and Kieran Edwards played some part in all 10 wickets that fell. Qaiser took 4-31 whilst Kieran continued his incredible form as he finished with 5-26 and also managed to run out Egertons Pro for the second time this season! A special mention to player/coach/manager JP who now has 610 Bolton League victims to his name (and counting...)
In response the hosts were looking for 7 points but with the weather closing in wickets and the bonus point were sacrificed in an effort to secure the victory. Eventually the lads got over the line by 5 wickets despite the threat of the game being abandoned with 3 runs needed for victory.
