Bradshaw Pro continues his fine form to take the game away from Westhoughton.

Westhoughton hosted Bradshaw in a repeat from the Hamer Cup Quarter Final from a couple of weeks ago, with a sense of deja vu by the end of the game.
Bradshaw won the toss and elected to bat, and lost an early wicket as Kieran Edwards struck. This was the only joy the hosts would have for another 33 overs as Harris (41 from 103) stuck around to support the star of the show, Saaed Anwar Junior, who added 149 runs from 149 balls, with 8 fours and 9 sixes. Despite the final total of 228-8, no other batters made it into double figures! Qaiser Abbas finished with 2-85 from his 19 overs, Kieran 1-61 from 16 (having had 1-29 from his first 13 overs), Dan Reeve 0-26 from 5 overs (an unfair reflect of his hostile spell of bowling that had the batters in trouble) and Paul Hart 4-54 from 10 overs, including a hat-trick with the final three balls of the innings, as all three batters were bowled. This meant Bradshaw had scored one less run than the meeting two weeks ago.
In response, the new opening partnership of Atiq Uz-Zaman and Matt Trow lasted 14 overs before Atiq was dismissed for 9, but there was only 25 runs on the board at this point. Matt went not long after for 17. Dan Naylor (6), Kieran Paisley (9) and Qaiser Abbas (19) were all dismissed with only 67 runs scored as the pattern continued from the aforementioned Hamer Cup game as the top five were dismissed for 53 on that day. On this occassion it was Ian Pilkington (53) and Rob Brown (48*) who shared a partnership of 112 to guide Westhoughton to a bonus point by scoring 75% of the opposition total, finishing on 181-6, six runs more than the previous contest. After the early spell from Foster (5-73 from 22 overs, having early been 5-34 from 14), the hosts were always behind the run rate and will look to bounce back on Sunday away to Astley Bridge.
