Eagley vs Westhoughton 1st XI

Westhoughton CC 1st team continued their run of victories against a lacktustre Eagley. The hosts got off to a decent start as they were 39-0 from 10 overs. Things soon became more difficult for the home side as Paul Hart, fresh off a 5 wicket haul against Tonge on the Saturday, continued where he left off by claiming 5-34 from 18 overs to help contribute to a spectacular collapse that saw Eagley fall from 60-3 to 86 all out. Dan Reeve 2-34 and Steven Murdoch 3-13 also supported Hart to help dismiss Eagley.
In response, Westhoughton were struggling on 17-2, but captain Rob Houghton managed to bat through the innings for 36 overs as he made a patient 31 to see his side over the line and secure another six point victory.
