Early exit from Lancs K.O. for last season's finalists

Any thoughts of emulating last season's final appearance in the Lancashire Knockout were dashed as Westhoughton crashed out at the hands of Greenmount. Westhoughton lost by nine wickets to their Bolton League rivals with the previous days main contributors with the bat, Antonio Mayers (28) and Adam Coates (22) again being the only main threats. 116 was never going to be enough to defend, and so it proved as both Ryan Senior and Nishi Shetty both scored half centuries to take the Bury side through to Round 3 by overtaking Westhoughton's score for the loss of just one wicket..
